Malocas
Jungle Lodge
Day 1
We pick you up in your hostel at 08:30am to the Rio Preto village (80kms by road). There we visit the municipal market before leaving in a motorized canoe to the Malocas Jungle Lodge. On arrival at the Lodge we will be received by the local staff who will show you your accommodation.
Lunch around 13H30: regional food made of delicious Amazonian fishes.
After lunch, your native guide will teach you the essential basics to survive in the jungle. You will learn to find numerous useful plants (to eat, to take care of yourself, to build a shelter).
Come back to the lodge after this first contact with the jungle. Dinner at the Malocas. After dinner, maybe you will have the opportunity to hear some Caboclos or Indians stories around the fire.
Day 2 & 3
After breakfast, once you will have prepared your survival equipment (hammock, mosquito net, cooking gear…) you will leave the lodge for 2 days of immersion in the deep jungle. Each trek will take you to new treasures: native house, refreshing break in a waterfall, piranhas fishing, survival camp, alligators “hunting”. You will be initiated to the survival methods in the Amazonian jungle.
Day 4
You will leave your survival camp after the breakfast. A last trek will lead you to the Malocas Jungle Lodge where you will have lunch.
Then you can enjoy a last fishing session, a last bath, or a last nap before leaving the lodge. Arrival in Manaus around 7:00 pm.
Observation
Your guide might switch the order of the activities depending on the weather conditions and also on your physical shape. We guarantee you that every activity will be done though.
